Terms of Service
Effective date: April 5, 2026
Last updated: April 5, 2026
1. Acceptance
Section titled “1. Acceptance”By using Ghost in the Droid (“the Software”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
2. What the Software is
Section titled “2. What the Software is”Ghost in the Droid is an open-source Android automation framework licensed under MIT. It connects to Android devices via ADB and provides tools for screen interaction, skill execution, and device management.
3. License
Section titled “3. License”The Software is provided under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it subject to that license.
4. Your responsibility
Section titled “4. Your responsibility”You are responsible for how you use the Software. Specifically:
- Platform compliance — Automating third-party apps (TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) may violate their Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with the terms of any app or service you automate. We do not encourage or endorse TOS violations.
- Legal compliance — You must comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to data protection, anti-spam, and computer fraud laws.
- Device authorization — Only use the Software on devices you own or have explicit authorization to control.
- Content — You are responsible for any content created, posted, or transmitted using the Software.
5. No warranty
Section titled “5. No warranty”THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that automations will work correctly, that skills will remain compatible with app updates, or that the Software will not cause unintended actions on your device.
Use at your own risk. Always test automations in a controlled environment before running them on accounts or devices you care about.
6. Limitation of liability
Section titled “6. Limitation of liability”To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Software, including but not limited to:
- Account bans or restrictions on third-party platforms
- Data loss on automated devices
- Unintended actions performed by automation scripts
- Financial losses from automated transactions
7. Skills and community content
Section titled “7. Skills and community content”Skills shared through the Skill Hub or community repositories are created by third-party contributors. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee the safety of community skills. Review skill code before running it — skills have full ADB access to your device.
8. AI features
Section titled “8. AI features”AI-powered features (Agent Chat, Skill Creator) use third-party LLM APIs. You are responsible for:
- Providing your own API keys
- Costs incurred from API usage
- Reviewing AI-generated actions before execution
The Software does not make autonomous decisions without user initiation. AI features require explicit user commands.
9. Acceptable use

- Gain unauthorized access to devices, accounts, or systems
- Conduct fraud, harassment, or abuse
- Create or distribute malware
- Violate others’ privacy or intellectual property rights
